We are sharpening our garden tools heading into the Memorial Day weekend while contemplating what to do with what is left of our "herbaceous border" after winterkill. We really miss Cyrano's regular patrols of our small patch. The rabbits are nibbling off all the fresh shoots of the plants I want to keep, while leaving the things I wish they would prune. You'd think they would at least take care of the dandelions before moving on to the raspberries, lilies and coral bells. But oh, don't despair! There is the promise of ramps and rhubarb in our Harmony Valley box this weekend!
