Travellin’ Light
After 28 hours of travel the Marburg family circus has landed in to North America. How did it go?
About as well as one could hope for, given three flights, including a 12 hour hop from Auckland to LAX. There was a bit of grumbling (from all parties) by the end of the last flight up to Portland.
Highlights? Making successful use of the “skycot” on the long haul flight.
Lowlights? The carpet at LAX. Like, gross, yo.
Other than a five hour time difference and serious jet-lagging, we’re all happy and ready for a nap.

1. Skycot looks a little squeezy for moi, but maybe….???
2. Beach towels were actually first invented for use at airports and only later taken to gritier places like beaches. (At Carpinteria, the tar in the sand replaces the gum on the carpet.
3.Just got back from a little travelin’ of my own. All went well, till the last (4th) leg: A one hour flight was four hours delayed, including almost one hour on the tarmac. Oh, well!
